Missouri prosecutors are trying to determine if accusations made by 36 women against a 44 year old man can amount to a criminal offense.  A Des Peres man has been accused of serial hugging.  He has allegedly been tricking women into hugging him earning the nickname “Jack the Gripper”.  According to police he will pretend to recognize the women and then quickly hug them before they realize what is going on. He was identified after one victim took down his license plate and then picked out of a photo lineup.  No charges have been brought up at this time.
