A special fashion show benefits the Safe House for Women

Oct 26, 2012 -- 9:49am

The 3rd annual Vintage Now Fashion Show next week is a fun way for women to see how 60’s style clothing can be incorporated into your modern wardrobe, while raising money for a local charity.  The event begins at 6 PM Tuesday the 30th at West Park Mall’s old Steve and Barry’s wing.  It’s presented by Pastimes Antiques.  The show and silent auction raised 30-thousand-dollars last year.  They’re hoping to pull in 50-thousand this year.  Safe House for Women executive director Michelle Scherer tells KZIM KSIM all the funds help them offer free services to local domestic violence victims.  Scherer says they don’t turn down any battered families who need emergency shelter, licensed counseling, and social support.  Your 25-dollar ticket gets you into the fashion show, light appetizers, and complimentary beverages.  You can get them in advance at 332-8882 or online at vintagenowfashionshow-dot-com.
