Southeast Health announced Monday they have officially acquired the leasehold agreement with Missouri Southern Healthcare to take over operations in Dexter within the next year. The transaction is pending regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of the year. Dexter Hospital LLC would manage the 50-bed acute care location during a transition period through June 30th, 2013. Southeast Health executive vice-president of planning and business development Jim Limbaugh tells KZIM KSIM this will mean expanded services for patients in Stoddard County. Limbaugh says they’re excited to be able to assume their lease well ahead of the 2019 date agreed to last August. The sale of Missouri Southern is estimated at 9-point-8-million-dollars. Southeast has maintained a satellite Cardiac Clinic at Missouri Southern since 1998.
