A Cape Girardeau man pleads not guilty to murder.  Police were called to the South Sprigg and Locust Street intersection September 20^th.  When they arrived, they found two victims who had been shot.  38-year-old Darcus Purl of Cape died at the hospital.  34-year-old Steven Williams of Cape had non-life threatening injuries.  He is charged with 2^nd-degree murder and armed criminal action and sits in county jail on a 2-million-dollar bond.  The shooting allegedly took place over a girlfriend dispute that escalated.  Williams received a public defender.  He pleaded not guilty Monday before Judge William Syler.  A hearing is slated for November 5^th in Jackson.
