The St. Louis Dairy Council has named chocolate milk the official drink of Halloween! Nutrition Educator Kelly Maher tells KZIM KSIM not only is trick or treating good physical activity for parents and kids – Halloween in general is more fun with this popular dairy item! It's good nutrition in disguise! A fun treat for Halloween or any time of year. Give them milk with the fun flavoring of chocolate! Maher suggests you fill your kids with a ham and cheese sandwich or cheese pizza before heading out to gather treats so they are not tempted to graze on the goodies before you can inspect them! When it comes to the candy – have a strategy… tell your kids they may only select a few pieces to eat each night so tummy aches can be avoided!
