A Southeast Missouri man facing seven felony charges for allegedly threatening people at a party with a loaded gun and trying to run down some of them with his pickup truck pleads not guilty. 20-year-old Jacob Cook of Marble Hill is charged with property damage, assault, leaving the scene of an accident, and unlawful weapon use. Police say Cook went to a party in Bollinger County October 20th, became belligerent and pulled a gun on the host. He then allegedly drove his truck into other vehicles and through a fence, nearly running down partygoers. Cook turned himself in last week. He posted a reduced 20-thousand-dollar bond Wednesday, pled not guilty, and has a preliminary hearing November 14th before Judge Scott Thomsen in Marble Hill.
