A concert will be held at the Miner Convention Center this weekend to raise money for Autism

Oct 31, 2012 -- 1:13pm

A concert aimed at raising awareness and money for autism will be held at the Miner Convention Center this weekend.  Saturday the Millstones, Chimes of Freedom, Dirt Road Express and the Smoking Flowers will take the stage raising funds for Ellas-Hope-dot-ORG.  The not-for-profit group offers support for families battling autism in Missouri.  It began when Steve McPheeters granddaughter was diagnosed.  With early intervention and networking Ella is a high functioning autistic girl who is a second grader in Ballwin.  McPheeters tells KZIM-KSIM having a place to turn can really help a family. Ella’s Hope raises money to help families throughout the state.  The concert runs from 5 until 10 PM and tickets are only 20 dollars.  You can order them online at SemoConcertforAutism.COM.
