Nov 16, 2012 -- 3:15pm

Southeast Hospital has once again been recognized for their efforts in heart attack treatment.  The American College of Cardiology Foundations NCDR ACTION registry has given them the Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2012.  Southeast was one of only 164 hospitals nationwide that was recognized.  The hospital met a performance standard of 90-percent for specific measurements for eight consecutive quarters.  Quality Executive Director Tammy Porter tells KZIM-KSIM this is what they strive to do daily. Porter adds they are constantly researching new techniques and technology to increase the ability to handle heart attacks.  ACTION Registry is a partner with the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
