A juvenile has been returned to her detention center and a woman arrested after an attempted escape in Pemiscot County. The Caruthersville Police Department responded to a call of a female that escaped custody and fled on foot. A short time later officers located a blue Buick driven by the suspects mother. As the vehicle passed they saw the juvenile laying in the backseat and attempted to pull the car over. The driver fled and police were able to pursue them to a residence on Davis Street. After a short chase the suspect was put into custody and the driver, a 35 year old female, was arrested. The escapee was returned to Pemiscot County Juvenile Officers and the driver is facing charges of hindering prosecution and resisting arrest.
