Hostess employees have a place to turn to in Southeast Missouri for help with job placement

Nov 28, 2012 -- 3:36pm

With Hostess Brands announcing their closure workers have found themselves out of a job.  In southeast Missouri the Department of Economic Development has activated their Rapid Response Teams to help those employees get on track to a new job.  Tomorrow they will hold a meeting in West Plains at 2 PM, Friday they will be in Poplar Bluff and Park Hills at 10 am and then Monday in Caruthersville at 10:30. Each meeting will be held at the Missouri Career Center.  Department of Economic Development Spokesman John Fougere tells KZIM-KSIM they will help work with people on their next steps. They will also help employees with finding job fairs, trade schools and career training.  Each of these events can be attended by any Hostess employee looking for help.  For more information call 751-2225.
