The kids at a local school are hosting a home tour for the holidays to raise money for their own trip to DC!

The 7th and 8th graders at the United in CHRIST Lutheran School are hoping you will buy a ticket to their Christmas Home Tour on Saturday the 8th to assist them in an endeavor to go to Washington DC! Spokeswoman for the fundraiser committee, Stephanie Mueller tells KZIM KSIM seven homes in Altenburg, Frohna, and Farrar are decked out for your enjoyment. And the kids have never been to DC – she thinks it’s the perfect time for them to go! The group is studying US History now and the teachers were hoping to make the lessons more "real". So they have undertaken the task of raising over 20-thousand dollars so the 18 students can experience what they are learning in their history books!  One home has an old time Christmas village, while another has a general store… And yet another has a whole Christmas village as they believe it was in Bethlehem! The tour is from 10am to 4pm next Saturday. Get advance tickets at United Land Title in Cape and Jackson for 10-dollars.
