The man accused of killing a Caruthersville Police Officer has a new court date. 30-year-old Deonta Williamson of O’Fallon, Missouri, was granted a move to Saint Charles County from Pemiscot County. He is charged with 1st-degree murder, assault, resisting arrest, and armed criminal action for allegedly killing Officer Evan Burns. The 28-year-old father died in the line of duty August 16th, 2011, during a high speed chase, from O’Fallon to the Bootheel. Williamson’s mental exam showed competency and a new motions hearing is set for January 23rd before Judge Daniel Pelikan in Saint Charles.
