SEMO Food Bank is offering a unique way to help hungry kids this season

Dec 04, 2012 -- 11:29am

Are you looking for ways to make your Christmas gift wrapping a little easier? The Southeast Missouri Food Bank has teamed up with Earl Birds dot com to help feed hungry kids in the area and help you get a start on wrapping your gifts.  Until the 7th you can drop by the American Family Insurance Office in Jackson and for a donation have your gift wrapped by someone else.  Food Bank Coordinator Amanda Winschel tells KZIM-KSIM it’s a new way to raise efforts. The money will benefit Backpacks for Friday in Jackson. Currently they serve 55 children in six elementary schools.  You can drop off your gift between 11 and 7 PM each day.  Learn more by calling 651-0400.
