A man and woman listed as persons of interest in connection with a shooting in Johnson County, Illinois, have been arrested in Kentucky. 41-year-old John Cunningham and his wife, 43-year-old Janet Cunningham of Windsor, Illinois, were taken into custody without incident by Kentucky State Police late Wednesday. The couple was found sleeping in a stolen pickup at a truck stop. The Cunninghams fled Southern Illinois Monday night after a man was shot in the Lake of Egypt area in Johnson County. The victim was treated and released from the hospital. Illinois State Police Captain Scott Rice tells KZIM KSIM they couple was on the run for two days and considered armed and dangerous. The Cunninghams are both convicted felons and are being held on charges of aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful possession of weapon by a felon. Additional charges are pending.
