An area Catholic Church is the victim of theft, but the items are not typical stolen goods, and can only be described as irreplaceable. The Catholic parish in of Saint Genevieve is mourning the theft of priceless relics brought to the church from Rome in the 1930s and 1940s. Though the nine relics were seen around the time of Christmas masses at Saint Genevieve Catholic Church, cleaning crews discovered they were missing on Jan. 4. According to Reverend Dennis Schmidt, the relics are items belonging to or connected to a saint, such as a portion of their bodies or a garment, and if you have information regarding the relics, contact the Saint Genevieve Police Department.
