A Doniphan man was sentenced in Union County Tuesday on dug charges relating to an arrest last year. 37-year-old William D. Ray was sentenced to seven years in prison on one felony count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and one felony count of obstructing justice. Ray was found in possession of methamphetamine during a November traffic stop, in which he was a passenger. He was taken into custody after he fled on foot to nearby wood and was apprehended by Union County Sheriffs Deputies.
