The National Weather Service has now confirmed that an EF1 tornado is what caused damage in Delta during the outbreak of storms Tuesday night. Reports indicate that it touched down at 9:13 pm about a mile and a half southwest of Delta and lifted one mile west of Blomeyer. The tornado had peak winds of 100 mph, had an average width of 75 yards, and a length of 5.6 miles. Trees and power lines were ripped down and homes sustained a lot of damage.
