Fifty-seven year old Dr. Byron Cornelius Glenn of Cape Girardeau was taken into custody Wednesday by law enforcement officers for the FBI and the US Secret Service. Glenn is charged with multiple felony counts of mail fraud and passing fake money orders and checks, all occurring between July and December of 2012. Glenn appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Lewis M. Blanton, and a hearing has been scheduled February 11th. Glenn practices family medicine at Cape Urgent Care on Mount Auburn. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 25 years and a fine of $250,000 on each of the Fictitious Instrument charges, and a maximum sentence of 20 years and a fine of $250,000 on the mail fraud count.
