A shooting late Thursday in Cape Girardeau has left 2 dead. Cape Girardeau Police officers were dispatched around 1145 pm to 401 South Pacific in reference to shots fired. After arrival they took 22-year-old Kenneth D. Bell into custody when they found him hiding in an alleyway. Inside the residence, police discovered two victims that had been shot multiple times. Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton pronounced dead on scene 43-year-old Shannon D James and 39-year-old Misty D Cole. Bell is charged with charged with two counts of Murder in the 1st Degree and one count of Armed Criminal Action. Bond has been set at $2,500,000. The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad is investigating, and no further arrests are expected.
