Feb 11, 2013 -- 5:50pm

A Cape Girardeau man accused of double murder was in a county courtroom today/Monday for his arraignment.  22-year-old Kenneth D. Bell is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of armed criminal action in connection with the shooting deaths of 43-year-old Shannon D James and 39-year-old Misty D Cole.  Late Thursday, Cape Girardeau Police officers were dispatched to 401 South Pacific in reference to shots fired, where they discovered the victims that had been shot multiple times.  Police found Bell hiding near the scene, and a witness said he saw Bell arguing with James, then saw him get a gun.  Bell’s preliminary hearing is set for March 7 in Cape Girardeau County Court.
