19-year-old Floyd M. Young of Cape Girardeau, arrested on burglary charges last week, told Judge Gary Kamp Monday that he plans to plead guilty. Young waived his right to a lawyer and then to a preliminary hearing, saying he intends to represent himself and plead guilty in a case in which police say prints lifted from a Hanover Street crime scene Christmas Eve lead to his arrest. They still are investigating to see if Young is involved in a string of burglaries that have taken place in recent weeks. Young allegedly admitted to police that he and a juvenile had broken into the home. He is being held by the Cape County Sherriff’s Dept on $15,000 bond, and will appear in circuit court on February 19th.
