Arkansas manhunt leads to arrest in Cape

Cape Girardeau police apprehended three Arkansas suspects Thursday night, including the subject of a 35-hour manhunt.  Eric Kent of Brookland, Ark., his father and an unidentified female passenger were taken into custody about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cape Rock Drive and Perryville Road.  Cape police attempted a traffic stop of a red Ford pickup truck, and officers gave chase when the driver refused to stop. They pulled the truck over on Cape Rock Drive, where the men fled on foot, but officers placed them in custody without injury. Wanted for charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, terroristic threatening, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and theft over $5000, Kent was the target of manhunt in northeast Arkansas by the state police and sheriffs' departments from Craighead and Green Counties.
