Southeast's Nursing Program reaches high passing rate

Feb 18, 2013 -- 6:30pm

Southeast Missouri State University’s Department of Nursing December 2011 and May 2012 baccalaureate graduating classes have achieved a 98.11 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse. Fifty two of the fifty three graduates who took the exam passed it. Southeast’s Department of Nursing Chair Gloria Green tells KZIM/KSIM that changes within the department have helped them to get  to this point. Passing the NCLEX-RN exam gives the ability for licensure in any state or territory in the United States. The Nursing department at Southeast holds accreditation by the National Organization Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
