Southeast Hospital ranks as one of the nation’s Best Regional Hospitals for 2012-2013 according to the U-S News and World Report.  Southeast is one of only 16 in Missouri to be recognized by the magazine.  They ranked 10^th in the state for high performance in one of 16 medical specialties and were recognized for “high performing” in urology for the second straight year.  Hospital chief medical officer Doctor Dennis Means tells KZIM KSIM this award is a team effort, from the medical staff to the janitors.  Means says they were also happy to see favorable scores from patients, with 80-percent ranking the hospital overall as highest or very high.  And 85-percent would recommend it to family or friends.  The magazine ranked Barnes Jewish Hospital the top center in the state, ranking nationally in 15 specialties.
