Southeast Missouri libraries have been awarded funds for improvements

Secretary of State Jason Kander today announced Mississippi County Library District received service and programming funds in the amount of $18,217;  New Madrid County Library received $10,947;  and Riverside Regional Library–Scott County received $10,602.  The funds may be used to meet a variety of local needs such as upgrading collections, including e-books, to make needed capital and building improvements, including projects for ADA accessibility, as well as for technology upgrades.  The Secretary of State’s service and programming funds are provided under the State Aid Equalization Program and are directed to county libraries where economic factors constrain local resources.
