A former Ellington bank manager was in court for felony charges, 42-year-old Irvin R. Eddington, Jr., pled guilty to felony bank fraud and embezzlement charges, involving multiple instances while he was Vice President and Manager of the Ellington Branch of People’s Community State Bank (PCSB). Eddington created fraudulent PCSB money orders to obtain cash or pay his bills and created and issued fraudulent unsecured irrevocable letters of credit worth approximately 1.3 million, resulting in defaulted loans of over 600-thousand, and created fraudulent loans and misrepresented collateral for loans. He pled guilty before United States District Judge Carol Jackson, in Cape Girardeau. Sentencing has been set for May 20, and each of the two counts carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and/or fines up to $1,000,000.
