148th District State Representative Holly Rehder, along with other legislators of the Worker’s Freedom Caucus will support members of the Kansas City Police Department during a discussion Wednesday regarding the Fraternal Order of Police union and their agreement with the Board of Police Commissioners, forcing officers to join or pay a fee. Rehder tells KZIM-KSIM that officers want to let people know about these workplace abuses, as they are in violation of the law. The meeting will take place the 13th at 1:30 p.m. in the House Lounge of the state Capitol. Rehder says this is more evidence for her support of “right to work” legislation for the state of Missouri, and that unions are losing members in other states that oppose “right to work” legislation, yet in states where they allow workers a choice, unions are gaining members.
