Police in western Kentucky have sent what they believe to be the skeletal remains of a man to Louisville for examination.
Fulton Police Chief Terry Powell told The Paducah Sun officers found the remains after a neighbor found the body inside a home in far western Kentucky on Tuesday.
An initial investigation led police to believe the skeleton was of a male.
Powell said Fulton police - along with the Kentucky State Police crime response unit and Fulton County coroner - opened an investigation. The remains were sent to the Kentucky State Police crime lab for testing to determine the cause of death.
