The Cape Girardeau County Public Heath Center is observing National Public Health Week from April 1st through the 7th, and has some interesting and unexpected programs that will appeal to everyone. Monday and Tuesday, Environmental Public Health Specialists will be available to test your water well. Thursday, Director Jan Wernsman says they will offer literature on Sun Safety, and Friday is a joint program on “Freedom From Smoking”—which she says is a prevalent issue with prenatal mothers in the county. Also on Friday is a walk-in clinic to provide Tetnus/Diptheria/Pertussis vaccinations. For more info, call 573-335-7846.
