The sitting Jackson aldermen made a full sweep in Tuesday's election.
Incumbent Ward 3 Alderman Mark Dambach was the only candidate to run opposed, marking the first time since 2007 that ward voters had a choice of aldermen candidates on the ballot.
Candidate Mike Steinhilber, who has never held public office, ran on a conservative platform and considered safety and traffic issues among the top concerns he said he would like to see addressed in the community.
Dambach defeated Steinhilber 190-66. Incumbents Wanda Young, Dave Hitt and Tom Kimbel will also be returning to represent wards one, two and four respectively.
Dambach, who has represented ward three since 2007, cited infrastructure as his main concern.
