A Judge yet to decide the future of Clay Waller’s murder case

Jul 27, 2012 -- 9:57am

A Cape County judge has not yet decided whether or not there is enough evidence for Clay Waller to stand trial in the death of his estranged wife Jacque.  The 41-year-old appeared in person in court Wednesday in his preliminary hearing before Judge Gary Kamp in Jackson.  Clay is charged with first-degree murder.  The prosecutor brought 18 witnesses to the stand in order to show there is reason to believe Clay Waller committed the crime.  Jacque was 39 when she was last seen alive June 1st, 2011.  Her body has never been located.  Judge Kamp did not rule after the six hour hearing.  He will take the evidence under advisement and is expected to render a decision early next week.
