Got protein? You do if you “got milk” find out why it could be helping you lose weight

Do you eat a lot of protein? You should. Nutrition Educator with the St. Louis Dairy Council Kelly Maher says breakfast is still the most important meal of the day – but so is what you take in at that time. She tells KZIM KSIM chicken and other meats are the star of the “protein show” these days but other sources are easier to carry to work and school and can make an equally balanced meal. Protein digests slowly so by including it in our meals and snacks we feel fuller faster and for longer! Cheese, miilk, yogurt, and cottage cheese go a long way in adding excellent sources of protein. Even the University of Missouri researchers found protein eaten for early meals can prevent unhealthy snacking later in the day.
