It is never too early to screen for risk factors leading to a stroke. Saint Francis Medical Center is hosting a free community stroke screening Saturday as part of its community education programming during National Stroke Awareness Month. Clinical Nurse Specialist April Morris tells KZIM-KSIM it’s easier to prevent a stroke than you might think. Saint Francis’ free screening includes a stroke risk assessment, blood pressure and cholesterol test, and a consultation with a medical professional. Appointments are required. To register, call 573-331-3996.
