May 03, 2013 -- 2:53pm

When are mice a good thing? When they help children learn and experience how this great country works! Spokeswoman for the United in CHRIST Lutheran School, Stephanie Mueller says “Cheese Hill Downs” races is a night filled with food, fun, and furry rodents! The mice actually race each other! She tells KZIM KSIM they have a lot of work to do in order to help students achieve an important goal! The money raised will go to the 5th and 6th graders so they can take a field trip to Washington DC as 7th and 8th graders. They just did this with the current classes two weeks ago and it was totally worth it! Mueller says the 17-dollar ticket includes; beer, soft drinks, pizza and snacks, and the dance following the races. Doors and the betting window open at 6-00pm. Don’t be frightened. The mice stay under glass! The races start at 7 o’clock tomorrow night at the Brazeau Hall on Highway C. You could win a prizes for the best or most outrageous DERBY hat too.
