The case of a Sikeston man jailed for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old child scheduled for last Thursday ended in a waiver of his jury trial rights and his guilty verdict from the court. 57-year-old Mart Parham was charged with child molestation in the 1st degree after he was arrested in September, 2011. Sikeston DPS responded to a home following a reported child abuse hotline call from a relative. The investigation led to a forensic exam of the child and an interview at Beacon Health Center in Cape Girardeau, resulting in Parham’s arrest. Scott County circuit Court Judge Terry Lynn Brown has set Parham’s sentencing hearing for July 18th.
