Nashville writer will visit Cape to offer tips on getting published

The Heartland Writer's Guild and the Cape River Heritage Museum will co-sponsor a writing workshop titled, "Getting Published: Tips for Writing and Marketing your Work." The speaker for the event will be Rob Simbeck from Nashville, Tennessee, who has appeared in a wide variety of publications including the Washington Post. He has written numerous books, is an interviewer and writer for Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40, and has written press bios for hundreds of country singers. The workshop will be held at the Cape River Heritage Museum, 538 Independence St. in Cape Girardeau on Saturday, June 8, 2013, from 9 am.til noon. The cost for the workshop is $20, to register call 573-888-3620.
