A McCracken County man who pled guilty in February to federal child pornography charges was sentenced to 20 years in prison. 28-year-old Matthew Ferreira was charged with three counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, via a computer. After the 20 year sentence, Ferreira will have a lifetime term of supervised release for violating child pornography laws. A superseding indictment was filed against Ferreira by a federal grand jury meeting in Paducah, Kentucky on November 9, 2012. On Ferreira pled guilty to all counts of the indictment, and admitted that he used peer-to-peer software and Skype software to knowingly distribute images of child pornography.
