JC Penney in Cape Girardeau is replenishing their stock after a busy shopping weekend.  Store Leader Sarah Grigaitis likened the tax free holiday to Christmas in the summer.  In Cape Girardeau you could purchase back to school items without paying the state tax.  JC Penney was also offering other great deals including free haircuts to kids entering grades K through 6^th, which will continue throughout the month.  Grigaitis tells KZIM-KSIM for such a short holiday they stayed busy.     School uniforms were a hot ticket item along with backpacks and shoes.  Grigaitis adds they will continue to keep uniforms in stock to meet the new dress code needs for Cape Public Schools.  You can see their full stock at their location in West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau.
