Southeast Missouri State University officials are expecting Dempster Hall will be ready for the fall semester in August. Heavy damage to the roof area along with water and moderate to light smoke damage on the first and second floors caused the closure of the building. Dempster Hall was completed in 1996 and cost $15.8 million. No word on estimates for repairs but urgency is the plan on completing them for the beginning of the school year.
