"Remembering Harry": Blue Book Contest: Your photography can be in Missouri’s Annual Blue Book and the Mo. State Archives

Secretary of State Jason Kander wants to remind Missourians to enter photos in the “Remembering Harry” Blue Book photo contest before the 5:00 p.m. deadline on Monday, July 29.Entries, which may be submitted by mail or email, should draw on one or more themes found in three categories, all quotations from President Harry Truman, whom the contest honors:  

The first quote is "Carry the battle to them."  Photographs of sporting events and competitions in Missouri will work for this. The second quote is "The most peaceful thing in the world is plowing a field." You may submit photographs of Missouri agriculture and natural settings for this quote. The last quote is "I don’t believe in little plans."  Photographs of unique celebrations and parades in Missouri are suggested for this quote. Winning photographs will be published with full credit to the photographer in the Blue Book scheduled for release at the end of this year. All submissions will join the permanent collection of the Missouri State Archives.  You can find entry forms and additional information are available at
