The SEMO Trail of Tears chapter of QDMA or Quality Deer Management Association will hold their 4th annual banquet later this month in Jackson. The event will educate you on the white-tailed deer research ongoing and ways you can get involved in keeping a balanced herd in Southeast Missouri. Banquet Chairman Allen Morris tells KZIM KSIM they expect about 200 people to attend and join their cause to help keep the balance with the local deer herd. Morris says they will also discuss property rights and ways to keep the balance on your own private land. Tickets are 35-dollars for singles and 45 for couples, which includes a membership in the QDMA club and a bi-monthly magazine on white-tailed deer information. The banquet is the 25th at the KC hall in Jackson at 5 PM. You can get tickets at 450-2186.
