Union County government is preparing a new tax cycle, and with the advantage of all their offices in the same location, officials are focusing on the property tax process. County Treasurer Darren Bailey tells KZIM-KSIM that his office, the county tax assessor, and county clerk can now do their jobs as they were intended to…for the first time in at least 40 years! Bailey has been in office since 2010, and says he wants to reassure residents and businesses about their efforts to change and improve processes. Bailey says that your questions about your county taxes—regardless of the issue—can be easily routed, now that all three offices are in the same building!
