Mental health of Bootheel residents will benefit from golf tournament

Jul 31, 2013 -- 8:24pm

Get your clubs and get out there to help with mental health—yours and someone else’s!  Golfing is relaxing and a nice way to relax, unwind, and some say it’s even therapeutic.  And if you play this week, it will help other’s receive the therapy they need.  The 13th Annual Bootheel Counseling Services golf scramble will be Friday in Dexter.  The four-person golf tournament will be at the Hidden Trails Country Club, and registration will begin at noon, with the tee-off at 1 p.m. It’s $60 per person and will include food, beverages on the course, t-shirts and door prizes.  The proceeds from the tournament will go to improving the mental health care needs for residents of Scott, Stoddard, Mississippi and New Madrid Counties.  For more information, you can call Jennifer Hartlein at 471-0800.
