The Missouri Lottery has added more money to the public education system. Since the lottery began in 1986 it has generated more then 4 point 3 billion dollars for state and public education. Programs funded with this year’s money include the A Plus Scholarship Program, the Foundation Program and Access Missouri. Lottery Spokesperson Susan Goedde tells KZIM-KSIM this year has already been up in sales. All proceeds from sales go to public education.
