The new TRCC campus groundbreaking draws a crowd in Sikeston!

Aug 15, 2013 -- 6:28pm

Three Rivers College President Dr. Devin Stephenson spoke to a standing room only crowd at the groundbreaking ceremony for new Eastern Campus Thursday in Sikeston. Stephenson tells KZIM-KSIM that the facility is optimally located at Kingshighway and 60/61.

Three Rivers Board of Trustees Chairman Darren Garrison tells KZIM-KSIM that he was pleasantly surprised by the turnout for the event.

Representatives Holly Rehder tells KZIM-KSIM that the Eastern Campus will help area businesses provide additional training for their employees—to a broad reaching area.

President Stephenson says the new campus will allow them to triple enrollment, as they are currently at max capacity, and will be a stimulus for economic development.  The entire project will cost approximately $7 million upon completion.
