A Carbondale man has been sentenced to prison for arson. 33-year-old Jason Mann plead guilty to a charge with aggravated arson, and was sentenced to serve seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. He will serve a three-year mandatory supervised release after the seven-year sentence is up. In December 2012, Mann was accused of lighting a mattress on fire in an unoccupied apartment on Ash Street in Carbondale. Investigators say spray adhesives were found at the scene, and similar material was found on Mann's clothing and in his apartment.
