An indigent man arrested in January has had his trial set for January of 2014 at a recent hearing. On January 19th, a victim reported to Cape Girardeau police that he was robbed by a man with a box cutter, describing the accused and his vehicle. When the reporting officer returned to the police station, he observed the suspect already in custody of another officer. 21-year-old Justin Patterson was charged with attempted robbery, felonious restraint, armed criminal action, and DWI, and remains jailed on $75,000 bond. Patterson will appear before Judge Benjamin Lewis for on January 28th, 2014.
