Summer is at a close, and it’s time for the 158th SEMO District Fair. It Starts tomorrow and runs through Sept. 14th. Fair Board President Peter Poe is predicting good crowds throughout the annual event. Poe also knows that many fair attendees may be on a budget. Poe says 92,000 people visited the fair in 2012—a 5 percent increase from 2011. And he expects just as much this year. The grandstand will feature an antique tractor pull for free, as well as a Hot Rod and Tractor Pull for $12 at 7:00 p.m. on opening day. There is a free Barrel-Racing Extravaganza scheduled for Sunday--all at the Grandstand stage! Don’t forget the 2013 Serve Pro Heartland Idol Finals will be on Wednesday at the Grandstand Stage, but there is one last chance to make it Saturday by participating in the Activities Tent Karaoke Contest. Today is the deadline to enter. For more info you can visit semofair.com. See you there!
