New Madrid woman pleads not guilty to possession of marijuana and mushroom charges

  A New Madrid County woman, who cops say they found mushrooms and marijuana in her home, will be back in court on Monday. 32-year-old Katherine Cummins of Marston has posted bail and 35-year-old Jason Davis remains in custody after deputies reportedly found illegal drugs in their home in the 100 block of East Elm Street on the 12th.  New Madrid County Sheriff’s deputies along with officers from the Marston Police Department found a safe with had a large amount of marijuana. Also found in the safe was a coffee can with a fake bottom containing a large amount of psychedelic mushrooms.  Cummins pled not guilty to the charges in September. Davis will also appear before Judge Josh Underwood on Monday as well for a Criminal Setting.
