A Kennett man accused of participating in a fake armed robbery pled guilty to the charges. The Missouri Highway patrol arrested 33-year-old Tony Bishop for stealing in July when 24-year-old Heather Godair made a report that she was robbed by an armed unknown man while making a deposit at a bank. Bishop pled guilty to the charges in September, and has been sentenced to 5 years in the Department of Corrections by the Missouri Division of Adult Institutions. Godair was arrested as well as it was suspected that she had made a false report to police, after further investigation. Godair was charged in July with felony stealing and making a false police report and she pled not guilty in August and was released on a reduced bond. She was scheduled to appear Wednesday before Judge Robert Mayer.
